This book was written by a human being. Every word, every character, every world — one person, one keyboard, years of work.
Everything else — the art, the audio, the production — was built with AI.
I am one person with a story I wish to tell and an inability to wait on the traditional publishing model in order to tell it, not the least of which is due to the difficulty in writing a science fiction novel in the face of an ongoing technological revolution.
If this works — if you read it, share it, and it finds its audience — I commit to reinvesting in human artists. Illustrators. Voice actors. Musicians. The people whose craft makes stories richer.
Not because AI cannot do it. Because I believe that true art can never be matched fully by AI and that we all deserve to continue to find value for the skills we have developed that enable the tools we now can all use to help build our dreams.
This is not a corporation optimizing costs. This is a creator using everything available to get a story into the world, with a promise to bring others along when it succeeds.
For art can only imitate life. It can never replace it.
